The air in the jungle was thick with humidity, and Ingrid could feel beads of sweat trickling down her back, but she didn’t mind. Wandering through the untamed wilderness was a unique opportunity.
It was hard finding a guide for these parts of the jungle. For some reason, no official company offered expeditions in this area. But Ingrid was persistent, and eventually she found a local who wanted to lead her through, for a good sum of money.
They had been walking for hours. Ingrid was starting to feel a little tired, and she started to lag behind. The guide refused to slow his pace, however. He had explicitly mentioned that taking breaks was not an option. They had to keep moving.
Eventually, Ingrid lost sight of him, but she didn’t mind so much, she was enjoying herself. Surely he would be back soon. In the meantime, she took her time to take pictures of the exotic flora and fauna around her.
The sound of a twig snapping caught her attention, and she turned around, instinctively reaching for her camera. Through the lens she could see a creature lurking in the bushes, something that she’d never seen before. A large beast, covered in thick fur, and giant teeth bared in a menacing snarl.
Fear coursed through her veins. She dropped her camera, and ran away as quickly as she could.
The beast let out a ferocious growl and sprang after her. Ingrid’s heart pounded in her chest as she sprinted through the dense undergrowth. The foliage was so thick that she could barely see where she was going. She tripped over a root, falling hard on the ground, and winced in pain.
As she struggled to regain her footing, the beast jumped onto her. Its massive paw swatted her aside like a ragdoll, sending her tumbling through the air. She landed with a thud against a tree, her breath knocked out of her lungs. The beast towered over her, its hot, rank breath washing over her face.
Still dizzy from the blow, Ingrid felt the beast’s claws sink into her clothes, shredding them to pieces as if they were nothing but tissue paper. Her blouse was ripped from her body, leaving her bare chest exposed to the air. Another slash tore her pants to shreds, leaving her legs and private area fully exposed.
