The thought of spending the entire night at the lab alone with Igor, the creepy, misshapen assistant, sent shivers down Peggy’s spine. But the professor insisted she stayed to oversee the experiment while he was gone for the evening, attending a conference. He had known Igor for many years, and he guaranteed her that he would never do anything to harm her. Sure, he was a bit odd, but she had nothing to worry about, so he claimed.
Still, Peggy found it hard to concentrate on her work as the minutes dragged on. She couldn’t help to keep glancing over her shoulder, every time she thought she heard Igor footsteps. She always had the feeling he was watching her.
Suddenly, Peggy felt a sharp sting at the tip of her finger. Lost in her distraction, she had accidentally pricked herself with a syringe. She panicked as she realized it was a strong paralytic liquid running through her veins. The effects began to set in quickly. Her limbs turned heavy and numb, and within a minute, she could no longer stand on her own. Her knees buckled and she collapsed to the floor, as the paralysis took hold of her body.
As the last power from her muscles faded away, Igor emerged from the shadows. Terrified, she watched in helpless fear as he slowly approached her. He knelt down beside her.
“Peggy… Pretty Peggy. You are so delicate… What are you doing on the cold floor?”
He reached out his clawed hand and gently stroked her cheek, his fingers cold and rough against her skin. She tried to speak, but her lips refused to form the words.
“Don’t be afraid, pretty Peggy. Igor will take care of you.” His bony fingers began to run through her hair strands.
Her heart raced as found herself at the mercy of the horrifying freak. She tried to scream, to move, anything, but her body failed her. And then, much to her relief, Igor took a small vial from his pocket. She recognized the green liquid immediately. It was the antidote.
With trembling hands, he brought the small bottle close to her mouth, until it hovered just above her lips. She was seconds away from being saved from this horrible ordeal. But at the very last moment, Igor flinched.
It was her sweet scent that captivated him, sending his mind reeling. The temptation was too hard for him to resist. He leaned in closer and buried his face in her hair. He knew he shouldn’t, but he couldn’t help himself. He had been waiting for this moment for so long. He had watched her from the shadows, fantasized about her, and now that she was finally within his grasp, he couldn’t resist the urge to smell her from up close.
Peggy wanted to scream, to push him back, but her body refused to cooperate. She couldn’t believe this was happening to her.
“Peggy smells good…” he breathed, his lips brushing against her ear.
